Sometimes we don’t have the words to describe exactly what’s wrong with us. All we know is that we feel completely exhausted by all of it. We feel it in our bones. We’re having trouble keeping up with our lives and feel like we keep repeating the same mistakes — like we keep letting people down. We keep trying to fix it, but nothing seems to work. We might resort to hiding all or part of ourselves because we think it’ll just make it easier for everyone. But the loneliness we feel from hiding all or part of ourselves from our families, friends, and loved ones can feel insidious and insurmountable or feel like its beginning to sabotage our ability to be “productive”, “normal”, or “good” at work or school, in our romantic relationships, or with our parents and friends. If this is how you might be feeling, you no longer have to do this alone. Together, we can navigate these challenges.

As a Ghanaian-Canadian, cis-het woman and registered social worker, my work is an extension of my lived experience navigating race, gender, class, neurodivergence, and mental health. This experience is what underscores my passion for providing compassionate and affirming therapy services that prioritize the mental health and well-being of racialized folx. My education and work experience includes a Master of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan Univeristy (formerly Ryerson) and 10+ years working with racialized folx in the community development, immigrant services, and mental health sectors. I provide trauma-informed, compassionate and affirming therapy that addresses the challenges of navigating identity, otherness and belonging as a racialized first- or second-generation Canadian, such as depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and low self-esteem.

I offer psychotherapy services in English and practice under the supervision of Nadia Saad, MSW, RSW, Psychotherapist. Learn more about Nadia Saad here.
